Installing DutyWatch Remote

DutyWatch Remote daemon will be lanched automatically and will capture all data immediately after installation.

Registration


 

  1. Launch DutyWatch Remote and navigate to the menu above on the screen.

  2. Choose Help and then Registration to enter your registration name and key. For that purpose copy regname and regcode from email without blanks before and after reginfo.

  3. Paste copied info to open window and press Register button. To end this operation, hit OK button.



View Monitoring Statistics

You can view ActyMac DutyWatch Remote monitoring statistics directly on the monitored computer, in a web browser or on the iPhone/iPod Touch using ActyMac DutyWatch Remote for iPhone or iPad.

Viewing Statistics in ActyMac DutyWatch Application

To view monitoring statistics directly on the monitored computer, start ActyMac DutyWatch. By default statistics for the last 4 hours are displayed. Push the Time Range button to adjust any specific time period and press OK. If you need to export statistics database as HTML, CSV or text files, click the Export button and follow the instructions on your screen.

On starting ActyMac DutyWatch application, the Applications chart tab opens. A circle graph displayed in the Applications tab illustrates the user's applications usage statistics. The area of each sector is proportional to the percentage of working time spent in a definite application.


In the Screenshots tab the screenshots taken by ActyMac DutyWatch are listed. Push the Full View button to enlarge image.


The Keystrokes tab shows the number of keystrokes typed in a definite application and in the Keystrokes tab you can see the list of all typed texts.

The Switching tab contains a circle graph that represents what programs the user switches to. The area of each sector is proportional to the frequency of switches to a definite application.


The User Activity graph shows what programs were running on the monitored computer in a particular time and how many keystrokes were typed in a particular application. For more information see chart legend below.

Viewing Statistics in a Web Browser

To view monitoring statistics in a web-browser, you enter in address bar:
address can be a name of the remote host or IP address of monitored mac.
If there are multiple user accounts on the monitored computer you can choose a user name from the drop-down list. Using the buttons at the top of the page you can adjust any specific time period for monitoring.

Use the links on the left to switch amoung the Summary, Keybord Usage, Keystrokes and Screenshots charts.

iPad or iPhone usage

DutyWatch Remote for iPhone or iPad is software for monitoring employees activity via iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch. The application allows to monitor a specific computer or a group of computers that have ActyMac DutyWatch Remote installed within local or remote network.

NOTE: A Wi-Fi or 3G GPRS connection is required to perform the program on iPhone/iPod Touch.

You can see the groups and names of computers in your network on the screen. If they were not found automatically or the computer names are inactive, click on the Search icon button in the left upper corner. The data will be displayed.

To add a computer that has ActyMac DutyWatch Remote installed, click on the Plus button in the right upper corner. After you have filled in the required fields, press the Save button in the right upper corner. Clicking on the Trash Sign Icon button in the left down corner will clear all entered information.

When you are done, choose a computer name. If there is more than one user account on the computer, you should choose the user name as well.

You can see your employee's user name on the header. Clicking the Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month and Last Month buttons allows you to view user's activity statistics for a respectable time period.
Push the Manual button to adjust a more specific time period. After the Start Date is chosen (clicking the button Now sets the time and date value to the current time and date) you should push the Done button in the right upper corner. Set the End Date and click the Done button in the right upper corner.

The Detail button in the right upper corner opens general information about the monitored computer. By clicking the Choose Date Again button you can reset statistics time range.

From the bottom of the screen you can choose viewing various types of the activity statistics.
The Switches tab contains a circle graph that represents what programs the user switches to. The area of each sector is proportional to the frequency of switches to a definite application.
The Applications tab allows you to view the amount of time spent in a definite application and number of symbols typed in it. Clicking on the application name opens the Strokes screen where you can view the typed text.
In the Strokes tab you can see the list of all typed texts. In the right column the date and the window title are shown. Type in a keyword in the Search field and choose whether to run search through the typed text, application names or window titles.
